CPR/AED- 3.0 hours

HSI (Health and Safety Institute) covers essential life-saving techniques, including high-quality chest compressions, AED usage, rescue breaths, and choking relief for adults, children, and infants. Designed to meet OSHA and workplace requirements, these courses emphasize the Chain of Survival, scene safety, and patient assessment. Core topics include CPR Techniques, AED Usage, choking relief, emergency assessments, chain of survival and activating EMS. This class provides a two-year certification.

HSI Adult First Aid -3.5 hours

HSI First Aid course provide comprehensive training in responding to medical emergencies, including scene assessment, bleeding control, CPR/AED usage, and injury management for adults, children, or infants. The curriculum focuses on practical, scenario-based training to equip individuals for workplace or community safety, often covering, legal aspects, shock, burns, and environmental emergencies. Core topics include Assessment and safety, bleeding and wound care, musculoskeletal injuries, environmental emergencies, medical emergencies, respiratory emergencies, and allergic reactions. This class provides a two-year certification.

HSI Stop Life-Threatening Bleeding 1.5 hours

The HSI Stop Life-Threatening Bleeding course teaches community members and workers how to quickly identify severe bleeding, activate emergency services, and save lives using direct pressure, wound packing, and tourniquet application. Topics include, access the safety of the scene, take standard precautions using appropriate personal protective equipment, assessment, activate EMS or your Emergency Action Plan, and stop lift threatening bleeding by manual pressure, wound packing, and/or applying a tourniquet,  This 1.5-hour, evidence-based training meets 2020 AHA Guidelines, is perfect for workplace safety, and provides a two-year certification.

HSI Adult CPR/AED and First Aid Training -6.5 Hours 

The HSI Adult CPR/AED and First Aid course is a comprehensive program designed to teach participants how to recognize and respond to life-threatening medical emergencies. It covers cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), AED usage, and basic first aid for adults, conforming to national resuscitation science guidelines. The course is ideal for the communities, workplace employees, educators, and anyone needing to fulfill OSHA or occupational certification requirements. The class combines scenario-based training and hands-on practice to equip students with the following skills:

Adult CPR & AED:

  • Performing high-quality CPR for adults.

  • Proper operation and usage of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED).

  • Providing relief for an adult choking victim. 

Basic First Aid:

  • Controlling bleeding and managing different types of wounds.

  • Treating heat and chemical burns.

  • Recognizing and responding to sudden illnesses (e.g., heart attack, stroke, diabetic emergencies, seizures).

  • Managing musculoskeletal injuries (sprains, strains, and fractures).

  • Treating environmental emergencies (e.g., bites, stings, heat/cold exposure).
