The curriculum focuses on practical, scenario-based training to equip individuals for workplace or community safety, often covering, legal aspects, shock, burns, and environmental emergencies. HSI Stop Life-Threatening Bleeding 1.5 hours
The HSI Stop Life-Threatening Bleeding course teaches community members and workers how to quickly identify severe bleeding, activate emergency services, and save lives using direct pressure, wound packing, and tourniquet application. Topics include, access the safety of the scene, take standard precautions using appropriate personal protective equipment, assessment, activate EMS or your Emergency Action Plan, and stop lift threatening bleeding by manual pressure, wound packing, and/or applying a tourniquet, This 1.5-hour, evidence-based training meets 2020 AHA Guidelines, is perfect for workplace safety, and provides a two-year certification.
